Mother Helper  Camp Mountain (QLD)

Nanny Start Date: 25th of August, 2026

Pay Rate: $40 per hour + superannuation

Contract type: Casual

Days/ Hours:

  • Monday 9AM-1PM
  • Friday 12PM- 5/6PM
  • Minimum 12 months commitment

About the Family:

This lovely Irish couple have fully embraced the Australian country lifestyle and live on a beautiful property with their two gorgeous girls, aged 3.5 years and 10 months.

  • Mum is home full-time with the girls while Dad works in sales, and together they have created a warm, relaxed and very wholesome family life.
Mum is a bit of a country-lifestyle queen. She loves making sourdough, brewing up bone broth and keeping things natural and nourishing. She also has a hilarious, bubbly personality and is genuinely a full vibe, so you can expect plenty of laughs and a really fun atmosphere at home!
  • Their eldest is a gorgeous little character with a huge imagination. She loves horses, unicorns, fairies, craft, making potions, reading, imaginative play and heading off on little adventures. She is happiest when she is busy creating, exploring and getting stuck into something fun.
  • Their youngest is the happiest baby and is currently enjoying two naps a day. She loves cuddles, playing alongside her big sister and, most importantly, eating!
  • The family have chickens, ducks, mini ponies and a very lovable farm dog to keep them company, so there is certainly never a dull moment.

As a family, they love getting outside and making the most of their country surroundings — hiking, camping, exploring local spots and, of course, looking after their little farm crew. The family value a low-tox, natural approach to living and try to keep things simple and wholesome, including when it comes to food and family life. They are not currently planning for the girls to attend daycare, kindy or school, with the intention to eventually homeschool, so they are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys a, more hands-on style of childhood — lots of outdoor play, imagination, creativity, fresh air and getting involved in everyday family life.

The Role:

We are looking for a happy, bubbly and playful Mother's Helper who loves babies and toddlers and wants to become part of the fun!

You'll pop in twice a week to play and engage with the girls while Mum gets stuck into household chores and errands. Mum handles naps and food prep, so your focus is simply keeping the girls safe, happy, entertained and having a great time.

Think: potion making, crafts, imaginative play, books, puzzles, outdoor adventures, animal encounters and plenty of getting down on the floor and joining in!

There is a fully stocked playroom and a huge outdoor space, so you'll have plenty of resources (and room!) to get creative. Occasional weekend babysitting for date nights may also be available.

Tasks:

  • Caring for and engaging with the girls while Mum is home
  • Supervising meals
  • Nappy changes as needed
  • Creating fun, age-appropriate experiences and activities
  • Imaginative play, crafts, potions, puzzles and books
  • Outdoor adventures and play
  • Getting involved in the girls' interests and following their imagination
  • General tidying up after activities and meals

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Happy, bubbly, playful and positive
  • Confident caring for both babies and toddlers
  • Creative and full of ideas for fun, engaging play
  • Comfortable with a country lifestyle and plenty of outdoor time
  • Warm, nurturing and genuinely enjoys being around children
  • Happy to work alongside a Mum who is home
  • Reliable, responsible and safety-conscious
  • Someone who will embrace the fun, family life on a property

  • Police Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Experience caring for children aged 10 months–5 years

This warm and outdoorsy family loves spending time together and making memories with their cheeky two-year-old boy. They are saying goodbye to their incredible nanny and looking for their next perfect fit as soon as possible.

Their little one is very adventurous and social and loves getting out and about. He takes one nap per day and is currently still in nappies, with toilet training to begin soon. His favourite things are water play, bike rides, bus and city cat rides and enjoying good food — especially hot chips!

Family life is full of fun and adventure, from picnics and playground visits to music and sensory play groups, library rhyme time, bike rides around the oval, and long walks with their two big, friendly groodles.

Both parents are working professionals and cherish quality family time, filling it with laughter, play, and plenty of fresh air. They offer a warm, respectful home where their nanny will be valued as part of the family team. With more children planned in the near future, this role has long-term potential.

We're seeking a warm, professional nanny who loves little ones and making each day playful, engaging, and full of learning.

You'll have experience with toddlers, understand developmental milestones, and be confident with routines to help this little one thrive. Outdoor adventures, nature walks, and fresh-air play are a must, along with creativity for arts, crafts, sensory play, and following the child's interests.

The ideal nanny is patient, nurturing, and brings gentle guidance, while also helping around the home with child-related tasks. Reliability, a sense of fun, and a long-term commitment are key.

Key Tasks

  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for a two-year-old

  • Lead fun, age-appropriate activities: arts, crafts, sensory play, music, and movement
  • Supervise outdoor adventures: park visits, picnics, trike rides, and nature walks
  • Plan and explore local activities: playgroups, library visits, music groups, and community events
  • Prepare healthy meals and toddler-friendly snacks
  • Assist with batch cooking toddler meals occasionally
  • Read, sing, and engage in open-ended play throughout the day
  • Change nappies and support toilet training when ready
  • Tidy play areas, bedrooms, and child-related spaces; restock nappies and wipes
  • Wash toddler dishes and clean up after meals/snacks
  • Support light child-related household tasks and occasional errands
  • Communicate with parents
