About the Family:
This role is with a lovely professional couple who are excited to welcome their very first nanny into their family. They have a gorgeous 5-month-old baby girl and two small, very lovable dogs who enjoy pats, walkies and long naps around the house. The family will soon be moving into a brand-new home featuring a backyard, pool, and easy access to local parks and walking tracks — perfect for fresh air outings and relaxed days close to home.
Outside of work, Mum and Dad enjoy bush walks, beach days, 70's music, and proudly describe themselves as "friendly nerds" who love trivia nights and board games. Mum is currently on maternity leave and will return to work part-time from 23 March, transitioning to full-time hours from May. Dad works from the home office around three days per week, with the remaining days based out of the house.
Their baby girl has had a big start to life, overcoming early challenges with severe reflux and cow's milk protein intolerance (no dairy). She is now thriving — alert, curious, and very engaged for her age. She loves reaching for toys, listening intently to conversations, and charming everyone with her big smiles. She has recently started solids, doing a mix of baby-led weaning and purées, and is settled into a routine of three naps per day. Her favourite things include her hands, breast milk, and meeting new people.
What we are looking for:
The family is seeking a compassionate, kind, and passionate nanny to provide high-quality care. The ideal candidate will create a calm, nurturing, and educationally supportive environment where their baby feels safe, secure, and engaged throughout the day. They are looking for someone who enjoys supporting early development through play, conversation, books, music, and age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and curiosity. A screen-free, stimulating approach and confidence in following an established routine are important. The right nanny will be patient, warm, and aligned with respectful parenting practices, with a genuine passion for working with infants and building strong, trusting bonds. A nanny who is naturally organised, proactive, and a confident problem solver will thrive in this role. A second language would be a lovely bonus, though not essential.
Tasks:
- Providing Sole-charge care of 5-month-old baby and ensuring a safe, calm, and engaging environment at all times
- Supporting developmental milestones through age-appropriate, educational play
- Floor play, tummy time, reading, singing, talking, and interactive engagement
- Planning and implementing educational and play-based activities
- Preparing baby meals, including purées and baby-safe foods using the "solids starts app"
